Playful Education - for all ages at all stages

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

How can playing, playfulness, open-ended and transformative play be valuable for and create value in education? Is it possible to adopt elements of play and playfulness into education? Is it possible to have playful education? Is it something we want? And what happens if we choose not to?

This opening panel explores these matters and more as the panel itself takes up a playful attitude towards being a ‘panel' through inviting the audience to become participants that playfully thinks and reflects together with the panel on these matters. This is done on the grounds that education and learning is always participatory, playful, dialogic and democratic in nature – So, therefore, we invite the audience to take a playful stance with us as we together try to toy with this serious matter called education.
